I hope you are all well and all this rain and bad weather is not bothering you too much it is certainly keeping good numbers of really good size spawning fish heading up the rivers down here. Sorry it's been a while since the last report but we have been flat out looking after guests and catching fish.
We have had an amazing busy summer so thank you so much for your support now that things have slowed down a bit we are planning on some alterations around the lodge so looking forward to it.
Although this summer has been a little wet we have had an awesome time with some great fish been landed and lots and lots on dry flies which has made some anglers very happy.
Lake Otamangakau also has had some real monsters this year we are up too 15 double figure fish this season and is still fishing great, so if you have a spare day before the end of May give us a call.
The back country rivers also unbelievable with lots of world class rainbows and browns been taking on dry and nymphs don't forget there is still another month or so of back country fishing left and can be very very good as it is getting no pressure so again if you have a day or two before the end of June give us a call.
If you are looking at heli fishing or overnight trips for next summer make sure you book early as next summers calendar is already filling up.
The Magical Taupo Rivers already are fishing very very good with the Taupo fish size been extremely good this year. What a great winter we are going too have it is already looking better thanI can ever remember with the fish size and numbers been unbelievable. We are constantly landing fish around that 6lbs mark at the moment especially in the Tauranga Taupo River.
We are pleased to announce that we have just launched a webcam view from the lodge, the idea being for people to see the state of the river.
